A relatively new HSS specification, ASTM A1085 was recently introduced to cover structural applications requiring a minimum yield strength of 50 ksi. Peak Kong Special Steel's products are available in round, square and rectangular configurations and comply with the requirements of A1085.
The ASTM A1085 specification also provides enhanced performance for seismic and other related fatigue suppression applications. ASTM A1085 allows full structural design capabilities for profiles due to tighter tolerances, allowing structural engineers to reduce welding requirements, lower manufacturing costs and increase manufacturing productivity.
